We’re only a week away from the world’s oldest 100-miler, but that doesn’t mean that our North American UltraRunning Calendar lets up one bit. Check out the Broken Arrow Skyrace 46k in Lake Tahoe, the Bighorn 100-miler in Wyoming, Six Days in the Dome in Wisconsin, an in-depth look at our very own Headlands 50k and much more.

Kicking it off in Olympic Valley, California, is the Broken Arrow Skyrace 46k on Saturday, plus five additional sub-ultra events. The marquee, two-lap course features over 10,000 feet of elevation gain and loss. The event has nearly 700 runners signed up who will be competing for what’s likely to be one of the largest prize purses in trail running, with $50,000 spread across races throughout the weekend. Read: Broken Arrow Skyrace Winners Advance to World Championships about the 2022 race. Check out the live stream on Broken Arrow’s YouTube channel.

At the Bighorn Trail Runs in Dayton, Wyoming, there’s the main 100-mile event beginning on Friday at 9 a.m., as well as the accompanying 32/52-mile races. This rugged high-altitude, out-and-back course collects nearly 20,000 feet of elevation gain and is extremely challenging due to the rocky terrain. Runners will also be at high elevations, reaching an altitude of 10,000 feet at some spots in the Bighorn Mountains. Check out live splits on race day here.

On the polar opposite end of the spectrum is the Six Days in the Dome in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, beginning on Friday, June 16 and ending on Saturday, June 24 at the Pettit National Ice Center. There are 72-hour, 48-hour, 24-hour and 12-hour races available with various start times throughout the weekend. The namesake race, the Six Day, starts on Sunday, June 18. There are just 18 spots left in total across the different races, so if you want in, sign up soon.

More fun race in different regions found on our UltraRunning Calendar this weekend include the Niagra Ultra 50k in Niagra On The Lake, Ontario, the Lumberjack Endurance Runs 50m/100k/100-mile in Port Gamble, Washington, the Running with the Devil 50k/50m/100k in Las Vegas, Nevada, The Dizzy Goat 6/12-hour in Gretna, Nebraska, and Mary’s Peak Trail Run 50k/50-miler in Blodgett, Oregon, all starting on Saturday, June 17. Beginning on Friday, June 16 check out the Gaspesia 53k/106k/100-miler events in Percé, Québec, and the Mountain Lakes Backyard Ultra in North Salem, New York.
