We start this week’s column by taking a moment to remember Elaine Stypula, an accomplished ultrarunner who passed away on Friday while participating in the Hardrock 100 Endurance Run. Stypula’s incredible list of ultrarunning achievements includes finishes at many of the world’s most challenging endurance events including UTMB, Western States, Tor des Géants, Marathon des Sables and many more.
