Ann Trason’s longtime CR at Arkansas Traveller 100-Mile falls, new men’s record, too. Beautiful, mild temperatures.
I missed that one, good find Jesse! That’s a 20 year old CR: http://www.runarkansas.com/results/AT100res2023.htm
On the Canadian side of the border, we had the Bromont Ultra (6, 12, 25, 55, 80, 160km) on Sept 7-8, under atrocious weather (cold weather, wind gusts up to 50mph and inches of rain). Record high level of DNF on the 100 and 50miler (80km, 160km) – only 21/116 participants in the 100m making it to the finish line.
100 miler won by 32 seconds, when the runner up (Maxime Lamarche) sprinted pass Sébastien Roulier (who had been in first place for 12 hours stopped for a piss as not to have the need to go after the finish).
Sounds like the most challenging of days – congrats to all those that braved those conditions. Starting is a win in weather like that. Thanks for letting us know J-F. https://ultrarunning.com/calendar/event/bromont-ultra/race/39662/results
