The second weekend of November featured 65 ultramarathons across North America. In this week’s Ultra Weekend Recap, we highlight results from Illinois, Colorado, Texas and Oregon. Tunnel Hill 100
First, we head over to Vienna, Illinois, where world records were falling at Tunnel Hill as Catriona Jennings beat Camille Herron’s course record in the 100-miler by 5 minutes, finishing in 12:37:04 to set a new course record and 100-mile world record, and finishing fourth overall. Piper Gray finished second in 16:33:50, and Kaydi Bolos came in third in 16:53:53.
In the men’s race, Phil Young ran the second-fastest time ever on the 100-mile course, winning in 12:03:27. Reese Slobodianuk was just 2 minutes behind, finishing in the third-fastest time ever in 12:05:38. Rob King rounded out the podium in 12:16:09.

Kessel Run Ultra
Heading west to Fruita, Colorado, and the Kessel Run Ultra 50k, Blake Wageman was the first female to cross the finish in 4:49:46, in fourth overall. Caroline Weiler was second female in 5:08:28, and in third was Lexi Burke (5:45:10).
In the men’s race, Keegan Oldani was first overall, finishing in 3:49:24. Alec Hewett was second in 4:15:47 and Tyler Mayer placed third in 4:46:45.

Austin Rattler
Down in Smithville, Texas, the Austin Rattler 50k saw 291 finishers with Mitch Klomp taking the men’s win in 3:22:59. Monte Brown was just 2 minutes behind, finishing second in 3:24:21. Ty Cervates rounded out the podium in third (3:36:32).
In the women’s race, Anneke Durkan finished first in 4:11, with Madeline Watts finishing in second in 4:15:43. Laura Mantilla finished in third (4:16:20).

Run the Rock
In the Pacific Northwest, in Terrebonne, Oregon, at Run the Rock 50k, Adam Bumbalough was the first male to the finish in 3:57:41. Lincoln Fleischman was second in 4:04:03 and Cully Brown rounded out the podium in 4:05:00.
In the women’s race, Molly DeLallo was first to cross the finish line in 4:41:47. In second, Abigail Swift finished in 4:46:26, and Sydney Lambert finished in third in 5:05:46.
