On the last Saturday in May and the first Sunday in June, we saw 39 ultramarathons take place across North America. In this week’s Ultra Weekend Recap, we feature race results from Pennsylvania, Ohio, Indiana and Oregon. Congratulations to everyone who raced this weekend!
Worlds End Ultramarathon
We kick things off in Forksville, Pennsylvania, for the 11th annual Worlds End Ultramarathon (100k and 50k races), where runners had to navigate extremely muddy course conditions. Despite the mud, 115 runners completed the 100k course in under 19 hours to earn their 2026 Western States Endurance Run qualifiers. Top honors in the men’s race went to Ben Quatromoni in a winning time of 11:24:06 (third-fastest course time ever). Justin Scheid finished runner-up (11:50:05), and Reagan McCoy (12:58:39) took third. Colleen Moffatt won the women’s event in 15:21:36. Jill Dennes came in second (15:40:19), and Shannon Cebron (15:48:44) rounded out the female podium in third.
Sandy Spitler raced to the female win in the 50k, placing fourth overall in a new course record time of 5:35:35. Rhea Weaver claimed second (6:21:40), and Lara Meloan ran to third (6:49:40). Scott Lesh earned the men’s title in 5:11:38. Tony Maloney was second (5:27:06), and Michael Hiestand (5:29:48) finished just behind in third. Full results from both races here.
Mohican Trail 100
Next up, we journey to Loudonville, Ohio, for one of the Midwest’s classic ultramarathons, the 36th annual Mohican Trail 100 (50-mile and 100-mile ultra distances). Saturday’s 100-miler saw competitive races in both the men’s and women’s events. In the women’s contest, Lily Medina broke the tape in a winning time of 22:44:12. Amelia Kvalheim finished less than 20 minutes behind in second (23:03:14). Ashlie Ithurburn (25:18:26) placed third. Alec Cline secured the men’s title in 17:51:26. Levi Yoder came in second (18:05:40), and Jordan Lafreniere (18:11:01) snagged third.
Cody Powers ran away from the field in the 50-mile event, winning by well over an hour in 7:18:38. The battle for the silver went down to the wire with Mike Dietz crossing the line in second (8:33:53), and Benjamin Pulley (8:33:54) finishing just a second back in third. Kathleen Tremblay won the women’s race in 10:02:51. Roxanne Carr took second (10:43:21), and Carolyn Hinkle (10:50:20) was third. Full results here.
The Full Mo
Staying in the Midwest, we travel to Sheridan, Indiana, for the fifth running of the speedy point-to-point 50k race, The Full Mo. Mark Weghorst broke the course record in the men’s race on his way to winning in a blistering fast time of 3:13:55. Cory Kirkham was the second man across the line in 3:21:09. Andy Cowen (3:37:50) finished third. Alison Ray ran the second-fastest female course time ever (3:44:16) on her way to the women’s win and a fifth overall finish. Rhiannon Bradshaw took second and ninth overall (3:58:43), and Gabrielle Pointon (4:05:03) finished third woman and tenth overall. Full results here.
Smith Rock Classic
Our final stop is in Terrebonne, Oregon, for the second running of the Smith Rock Classic (50-mile and 50k races), where participants battled unseasonably warm temperatures as they raced their way around scenic Smith Rock State Park. The heat didn’t faze Katherine Boere, who won the women’s 50k and finished fourth overall in a new course record time of 4:43:05. Kim Magnus ran to second and seventh overall (5:03:56). Chloe Smith (5:37:04) finished third. The men’s 50k course record also fell on Saturday, with Sidney Noble taking the men’s win speedy time of 3:56:00. Joe Thompson claimed second (4:28:16), and Eric Colton (4:40:56) was third.
In the 50-mile contest, Kyle Schenone broke his own course record and won for the second straight year in 7:42:58. Nick Eldridge took second (8:13:38), and Evan Rhoads (8:16:26) placed third. Rachel Hawkins defended her 2024 title, winning the women’s race in back-to-back years in 8:55:38 (fourth overall). Stephanie Christau was second and sixth overall (9:25:18), and Christine Mosley (9:45:45) finished third and ninth overall. Full results from both races here.

Hi Lauren,
Thanks for sending this. I added a link in the article to these results. I try to feature backyard ultras, but many of them last several days, and I don’t get the results (or the race isn’t yet completed) at the time of publishing. I often write about backyard ultras in the “What’s Up in Ultra” column on Wednesdays, and all results submitted to Ultrarunning are published on the results page, as well as with historical records from the event.
If this event does not have a page yet on the site (I can’t find it), you can add it here for — https://ultrarunning.com/calendar/race-directors
Thanks,
Drew
