We had another busy weekend of ultramarathon action with 45 events taking place across the US and Canada. Let’s dive into the results in this week’s Ultra Weekend Recap.

We start in Silverton, Colorado, at one of the most iconic mountain races in the United States, the Hardrock 100 Endurance Run, where both the male and female course records were broken. On the women’s side, Courtney Dauwalter took home her third straight Hardrock win. Dauwalter shaved over 2 minutes off her previous course mark, winning wire-to-wire in 26:11:49 and finishing fourth overall. She now holds the top three fastest female times in race history. Second place in the women’s race went to Camille Bruyas in 29:28:11 (sixth overall) with Katharina Hartmuth placing third (30:19:12 and ninth overall). On the men’s side, veteran French runner Ludovic Pommeret put on a mountain-running clinic, winning in 21:33:06 and breaking the previous course record held by Kilian Jornet. Diego Pazos finished second in 24:39:36, and Jason Schlarb rounded out the podium in third (24:48:18). There were 119 of the 146 starters who completed the loop around the San Juan Mountains under the 48-hour cutoff time. Full results here.

Next, we head to Salmon, Idaho, for another classic mountain event, the Beaverhead Endurance Runs (100k and 55k races). In the 100k, 20-year-old Ben Saelens ran a speedy time of 9:34:13, taking the win by over 2 hours and running the second-fastest time in race history. Joseph Pendelton claimed second in 11:43:32, and Greg Englehart finished as third-place male (12:26:21). In the women’s race, JT Wynn ran a masterful race to secure the victory, setting a new course record in 12:06:44 and placing third overall. Sophia Forstag finished second female in 13:54:34, and Cassi Knight took third (14:29:01).

In the 55k race, three women cracked the top 10, with top honors going to Amy Kramer in 7:20:19 (fifth overall). Kayla Martin finished second (7:23:25 and sixth overall), and Amy Schilling raced to third (7:29:29 and eighth overall). In the men’s event, Ben Hathaway claimed the victory in 6:40:23. Kenny Braun finished second (6:53:50), and Nicholas Berger placed third (7:05:29). Full results of both races here.

Heading east, we stop in Frederick, Maryland, for the Catoctin 50k. First run in 1995, this year’s event saw 116 runners complete the course. First place in the men’s race went to Patrick Blair in 4:54:09. Simon Arendt finished second (5:23:34) and Martin Brice snagged third (5:32:36). For the women, Kristen Kelman was victorious in 6:33:28, followed by Kelly Ammon in second (6:51:30), and Madison Palmer in third (7:03:45). Full results here.

Heading north to Canada, we visit Crowsnest Pass, Alberta for the Sinister 7 Ultra. Because the race has three ultra distances (100-mile, 50-mile, and 50k) we’re only listing the winner, but you can check out the full results of all the races here. In the 100-mile race, Jodie Stutt took the win for the women in 24:22:52 (sixth overall), and Ian Cleland placed first for the men (21:17:49). In the 50-miler, Brendan Morphet took the overall win in 9:18:33 with Alanna Karpa finishing first female (11:44:25). In the 50k distance, Katie Morgan came out on top for the women in 5:24:07 (third overall and second-fastest course time), and Brandon Miller won for the men (4:37:45 and also the second-fastest course time).

Other results from the weekend include San Lorenzo River Trail Run (Santa Cruz, CA), Great Hill Ultra (Middlesex, NY), Tail of Two Trails (Shawnee, KS), Ultramook 50k on the Tillamook Ridge (Tillamook, OR), MT Hood 50 (Timothy Lake, OR), Waugoshance Trail 50k (Mackinaw City, MI), and TPK Disparate Fun (Newton, NJ).

Keep an eye on the UltraRunning Magazine results page as more are published, and congratulations to everyone who raced this weekend!
