David Sinclair
Almost untouchable at technical mountain running, Sinclair showed his versatility by placing a strong second at the Canyons by UTMB 100k. He won all three skyrunning-type races during the year, adding a course record at the Rut 50k in Montana, beating Kilian Jornet’s 2014 record by 5 minutes. Schide ran just two ultras in 2022, but both were prestigious wins – UTMB and Val d’Aran by UTMB 100k. The Maine native also completed her PhD in geology during the year.
