Courtney Dauwalter
Courtney Dauwalter is UltraRunning Magazine’s Worldwide UltraRunner of the Year. Dauwalter smashed the course record at Western States in June, broke her own course record set last year at the Hardrock 100 in July and won UTMB in September. She also won and set course records at the Bandera 100k in January and Spain’s Transgrancanaria 128k in February. Jim Walmsley
Jim Walmsley is UltraRunning Magazine’s Worldwide UltraRunner of the Year for 2023. Walmsley won and set course records at the three ultras he entered. His first race was in Croatia at the Istria by UTMB 168k in April. Next, he became the first American male to win UTMB in September. He closed out his 2023 campaign by taking the title and winning a Golden Ticket for Western States at Nice Côte d’Azur by UTMB 100k, just four weeks after UTMB.
