He also had course record wins at Istria by UTMB 100-miler in Croatia and the Nice Côte d’Azur by UTMB 109k in France. Courtney Dauwalter
Courtney Dauwalter is the Ultra Runner of the Year for 2023. It is the fifth consecutive UROY for Dauwalter. She had a year for the ages, breaking the course record at Western States by more than an hour, breaking her own course record at the Hardrock 100 and then dominating the field at UTMB. She also had course record wins at Bandera 100k and Transgrancanaria 128k in Spain. But, most assuredly, the race that pleased her the most was at the Javelina Jundred 100k, where she ran the entire race with her 66-year-old mother, Tracy.
