David Roche is the 4th-ranked man for 2025 UROY. He defended his Leadville Trail 100 title and broke the record he had set the previous year, running the course in 15:12:30. This came after a disappointing DNF at the Western States 100 in June 2025, where he dropped at mile 62, and then bounced back remarkably at Leadville in August. Roche placed second at the Javelina 100-miler in October with a time of 12:18:06. He also won the Quad Rock 50-mile and Cheyenne Mountain 50k.
