Lake Hughes, CA, April 17. Tom Crawford and Michelle Barton both set course records under ideal conditions at the 17th annual Leona Divide 50. Crawford pulled away from previous course record holder Jorge Pacheco for the win. Barton led the women from wire to wire, and finished fourth overall.
Much of the course is run on the Pacific Crest Trail about 50 miles north of Los Angeles. 153 runners completed the course on a sunny, mild day.
