Honolulu, January 18. Two runners from northern climes won the 9th annual HURT 100 Mile Endurance Run, which finished here today. Geoff Roes from Douglas, Alaska and Tracy Garneau of Vernon, British Columbia were first to complete the demanding 5-lap course held in the tropical highlands above Honolulu. Roes, 32, broke Matt Estes’ 2007 course record by 15 minutes and Garneau bested defending champion Suzanna Bon of Sonoma, California, who finished second.
