Cool, California, March 12. Mike Wolfe and Joelle Vaught were the winners of the highly competitive Way Too Cool 50K. Wolfe, from Helena, Montana took advantage of good weather to run the second fastest time in race history despite a muddy track. The course has had a variety of changes over the years and there were significant new course modifications this year. Vaught, who won here for the third time, edged Caitlin Smith for the win. There were 586 starters and 564 finishers, both records for the event.
