Fountain Hills, Arizona, October 24. Guillermo Medina and Jamie Donaldson were winners at the 8th annual Javelina Jundred 100-Mile Endurance Run. Donaldson beat all the other women by more than two hours in setting a new course record and finishing second overall.
The race, a six-lap loop in the desert northeast of Phoenix, had 263 starters. 137 finished within the 30-hour time limit. Runners enjoyed good conditions, with a high temperature in the mid-70s and low of about 50.
