Willamette Pass, Oregon, August 20. Dave Mackey and Aliza Lapierre were winners of the 10th annual Waldo 100K held in the Oregon Cascades, 70 miles east of Eugene. Mackey broke Erik Skaggs course record by four minutes in the process, while Lapierre was 10 minutes outside Joelle Vaught’s women’s record. Both winners grabbed the lead early and never relented. The race is the first of the 2011-12 Montrail Ultra Cup series.
