Seoul, Korea, October 19. Ryoichi Sekiya of Japan posted a stellar 169.28 miles in winning the IAU World Challenge 24-hour race held here on October 18 and 19. Sekiya led the Japanese to the
men’s team title. Anne-Marie Vernet led a French sweep in the women’s race with 148.35 miles.
The top American was Philip McCarthy of New York City, who finished 17th with 145.3 miles. Jamie Donaldson of Littleton, Colorado finished fifth among the women with 136.76 miles. Complete results
