Bear Lake, Idaho, September 26. Geoff Roes of Douglas, Alaska, only two weeks removed from setting a course record at the Wasatch Front 100, doubled back with another course record run at the Bear 100. Roes was also well under Ty Draney’s previous course record and finished two hours ahead of Nick Pedatella.
Katherine Dowson was the women’s winner in 27:04:59. Of the 129 starters, a total of 92 runners finished within the 36-hour time limit. Three more runners completed the course a few minutes after the cutoff.
