Whitewater, WI, June 8. Braving heat, humidity and heavy rain, Joel Eckberg and Darla Brader prevailed at the 13th annual Kettle Moraine 100-Mile Run on June 7 and 8. Eckberg easily out-distanced
defending champing Mark Tanaka, who finished second. Brader, from Bend, Oregon, took the lead in the women’s race late in the day and beat New Jersey’s Jenny Chow by more than an hour. Only
37 of the 117 starters finished.
