Jim Walmsley is the 2025 UltraRunner of the Year for the men – his sixth time winning the award. He had a dominant season that included winning the Chianti Ultra Trail 120k in Italy in March, handily defeating previous UTMB champions Kilian Jornet and Vincent Bouillard. He also won the OCC 61k race at the UTMB World Series Finals in August in a thrilling come-from-behind finish and captured the World Mountain and Trail Running Championships Long Trail 82k title in late September.
