Lynchburg, Virginia. Eric Grossman pulled away from Brian Rusiecki in the final miles to win the 15th annual Mountain Masochist 50 Mile Run. Sandi Nypaver was the women’s winner, nearly half an hour ahead of runner-up Alyssa Wildeboer. Of the 262 starters, 229 finished within the 12-hour time limit.
