Ruth Croft is the women’s 2025 World UltraRunner of the Year. She achieved the pinnacle of her ultra running career by winning UTMB in a time of 22:56:23, becoming the first woman to complete the UTMB World Series “Triple Crown” by winning all three championship races in Chamonix: OCC (55k), CCC (100k) and UTMB. She had previously won CCC in 2015 and OCC in 2018 and 2019.
Earlier in the year, Croft defended her title at the Tarawera 100k in February, winning for the third time and setting a new course record. She also won the MaXi-Race 60k in France at the end of May. Her season included one setback when she was forced to withdraw from the Transvulcania Ultramarathon 73k as defending champion due to severe hypothermia.
