Megan Eckert was voted 3rd woman in the 2025 World UltraRunner of the Year ranking. In May, she set a new women’s 6-day world record at the GOMU 6-Day World Championship in Vallon-Pont-d’Arc, France, covering 603.155 miles, smashing the previous world record of 560.33 miles set by Camille Herron in 2024. Eckert became the first woman in history to surpass 600 miles in a 6-day race, averaging more than 100 miles per day. She also was the second woman at Big’s Backyard in October with an incredible 383.33 miles. Eckert was also second at the Badwater 135 and was the overall winner at both the Habanero Hundred and the Sierra Vista 50k in the US, along with multiple podium finishes throughout the year.
