Gold Bridge, BC, February 27, 2014 – Tyax Adventures has partnered up with Ryders Eyewear, to offer the first Ryders Chilcotin Ultra Running Camp this August 15 to 17. Located in the beautiful South Chilcotin Mountains Park, one of BC’s newest parks, runners will stay at Tyax Adventures’ Backcountry Camp at Spruce Lake for two nights and three days running the vast network of alpine trails, before running to Tyax Wilderness Resort & Spa where they will spend the final third night of their trip in luxury.
Tyax Adventures’ remote backcountry camp at Spruce Lake is surrounded by hundreds of kilometres of trails and plenty of elevation to get a runner’s blood pumping. Along with the huge network of trails surrounding Spruce Lake, it’s also a stunning spot with gorgeous mountain views, a sapphire blue lake full of fish and a peaceful place to unplug and relax.
Participants will be led by Kevin Titus; a Sea to Sky local and Canadian Cross Country Running Champion. With numerous titles to his name including, 4-time top Canadian at the Vancouver Marathon, Winner & former record holder of the Victoria Marathon, as well as multiple Canadian Cross Country Running Champion titles, Kevin will lead participants on daily runs of 25 – 40 km. According to Kevin he got started trail running because, “I was doing a lot of running on the roads and hiking in the mountains and realized at some point that it would make sense to combine the two”. Combining these two passions, he never turned back. “You get places so much faster and can see so much more.” What a better place to run and explore than the stunning South Chilcotin Mountains.
This three day Chilcotin Ultra Running Camp is being presented in partnership with Ryders Eyewear. Tyax Adventures and Ryders Eyewear will provide all participants with some special SWAG to take home with them as a memento of their experience.
