Glenn Tachiyama was often known as the man behind the lens at ultrarunning events across the West Coast for 20 years. His time and dedication to the sport was evident in the images he produced and shared throughout the ultrarunning community. In her first film, a small graduate school project, ultrarunner Shannon Hogan gives us a look at Tachiyama’s life and why becoming a photographer was so important to him and the history of his family. His images have graced the pages and often, the covers of UltraRunning Magazine throughout the decades, and we’re honored to be able to share this short film.
