For younger trail runners, it can be hard to enter the world of training and racing. The All In Trail Collective is an organization that offers opportunities for coaching and racing with an “aim to provide coaching support and mentorship for promising, younger athletes, particularly those from marginalized or underserved communities.”
They offer scholarships, which are open to athletes 20-30 years old from backgrounds that aren’t often represented in the trail community, and include a year of free coaching, with the goal of having an impact on the next generation of trail runners. With eight coaches including Jarred Ervin, Jess Schnier, Rachel Lemcke, Yassine Diboun, Ryan Miller, Lindsey McDonald, Danielle Snyder and Joe McConaughy, they are excited to begin their fourth year with a new group of athletes.
The 2024 program and these selected athletes included highlights like Sawyer Magnett winning the Hurricane 100k, Wy’east Trailfest 50k and Promise Land 50k, Timberlin Henderson running and raising thousands of dollars for clean water projects on Navajo Land through Fundamental Needs, and Martha Clemmer running a healthy and fast marathon during her pregnancy.
