ak Mountain 50K (2nd Oldest 50K in Alabama) course runs through forested hills of Oak Mountain State Park, established 1927, (Alabama's largest park (11,584 acres)), in Pelham, AL.Runners will continue on mostly single track trails with two climbs up to the top of Double Oak Mountain. Runners will work their way past the beautiful Peavine Falls that is an approximately 65 feet tall, naturally fed waterfall located at the top most ridge in Oak Mountain State Park. Runners will also traverse past Maggie's Glen & Shackleford Point (1.260 ft., highest point in the park). There are no repeating loops.
