Mill Stone 50K
The Mill Stone 50K consists of three 10.5-mile loops at the scenic ASC Greenway in Fort Mill, SC. Don't let the name of the venue fool you. This is not a greenway like many cities and towns are developing, with paved or very groomed paths. The course in this private green space in the suburban Charlotte area consists of mostly single-track, technical trail, with some gravel road and dirt trail. There will be at least two creek crossings, with the possibility of more depending on the weather. It will also most likely be muddy. You should have some trail running experience before taking on this race, but this would be a great first time 50K race. There are numerous opportunities to preview the course throughout the year, as well as a formal preview fun in January.
