Summary
These women’s running tights from rabbit include a little compression and a lot of comfort. The technical performance tight fit is snug with a waistband that is ideally positioned directly over the hips. The pants are made of a silky soft fabric that feels like a second skin while running without any bunching or gathering, and the few seams are impossible to notice. An addition of rabbitKNIT fabric at the knees allows for breathability and keeps compression right where it’s supposed to be. Perfect for mild winter weather or a chilly spring day, these tights will wick away moisture but aren’t insulated for sub-freezing temperatures.

MSRP: $100

Features
– 78% poly/ 22% spandex
– Heavy weight interlock (compression) fabric (425gm)
– Rear zip pocket located in mid-back of waistband
– Dual front internal pockets
– Made in California

What we found
Just when you thought spring was around the corner, winter comes roaring back. Rabbit’s mighty tights would be a welcome addition to any runner who needs a layer of protection on her legs, but doesn’t want to be slowed down by heavy fabric. These full-length tights are designed for comfort when running. The four-way stretchy fabric allows for unrestricted movement, but won’t bunch or gather in the wrong places. This is where we found them to feel like a second skin of sorts, as added compression within the fabric kept the tights in place.

Starting from the waist, the width of the waistband is ideally positioned above the hips and won’t sag due to reinforced fabric. A zipper picket in the back is spacious enough for car keys and a couple gels, while dual pockets in the front could hold individual items.

The rabbitKNIT fabric incorporated into the knees of the tights doesn’t detract from the overall look (both fabrics are matched to blend together), and allows for ventilation and breathability, eliminating that “behind-the-knee stickiness” some might experience during a longer run or a humid day.

Known for its supple fabrics, rabbit successfully created a uniquely smooth blend that stretches but stays put while in motion due to the added compression with a heavy weight interlock. Hence, the second skin feel. The length was a tad long for us, but the excess wasn’t noticeable and kept our ankles warm in colder weather. Long socks can easily be pulled over the tights for added protection from the elements.

The mighty tights kept us feeling fast and light, while adding a layer of protection and compression. We weren’t distracted by the position of the waistband (as others can often cause discomfort), and for that reason alone, these tights kept us light and fast on our feet. The fabric is smooth on the skin and won’t absorb moisture in wet, spring weather. But we did find that the tights functioned better in above-freezing temperatures due to the fact that they aren’t insulated or reinforced for extreme winter weather.
