Wings of the West Urban Ultra

RACE DESCRIPTION

Welcome to the 1st Annual Wings of the West Urban Ultra. This urban style ultra will take you on a tour of beautiful West Volusia, starting at Pioneer Settlement in Barberville, FL and ending at Lyonia Environmental Center in Deltona, Florida. Runners will navigate in search of unique wings painted by local artist Erica Group. 

This is a point to point race and all participants must provide their own transportation to the start line and pickup at the finish line. No transportation will be provided by the event except in the case of medical emergency. The race starts at 6:30 AM with a 12 hour cutoff at 6:30 PM. THIS IS A LOW-KEY RACE AND MOSTLY SELF-SUPPORTED. All participants must carry their own hydration and nutrition. We are working with each wing stop to provide water, ice, and possibly some snacks. Join our Facebook group to get more details.

Race will start at the first set of wings at Pioneer Settlement entrance off Lemon Road (228-278 Lemmon Road, Pierson, FL 32128). Make sure to take your photo at the wings. If you have social media, please post and use #wingsofthewest. Runners will receive a card with instructions on how to get to the second set of wings. You will receive a new set of instructions at each check point until you arrive to the finish-line.

FINISHER MEDALS

All participants will receive a unique medal designed by the wing artist herself, Erica Group.
