Tiger Mountain Trail Run

The course starts out going east for a grand clockwise lollipop loop on these popular mountain biking trails, hitting two aid stations along the way, before passing through the start finish for another aid stop. 50k runners then go west for a longer lollipop loop that extends into the West Tiger Natural Resources Conservation Area and circumnavigates the three West Tiger summits with a mix of traversing, climbing, and descending, passing aid stations four more times before returning to the finish. Due to the logging and trail closures around the West Tiger summits, we extended the western loop farther to the west (and lower on the mountain), as well as keeping the course from getting too long by cutting the 15-mile Canyon railroad grade trail and the long road run to get there. More of the route is used in two directions, but there is also more trail and less road, so we think it will be a fun variation on the route.
