The Widow Maker

Southern Singletrack is excited to announce that the Widowmaker Ultra and Whiskey Still 5k/10K is on! This race is held at Sprewell Bluff Park in Thomaston, Ga which is just 50 miles south of Atlanta. Sprewell Bluff Park is one of the most beautiful and best kept secrets in Georgia. It features the gently flowing Flint River that meanders thru steep Rocky Bluffs. When you see the magnificent views from the bluffs you won't believe you are in South Georgia. Proceeds to benefit Sprewell Bluff Park!

8 Hours Ultra Marathon

Whoever can run the most loops of The Widowmaker Trail from 8:00AM to 4:00PM wins the race! Run as many loops as you can until The Widowmaker has you begging for mercy. This trail is a mostly single track 6-mile loop and has some very steep and technical sections. Although this trail is beautiful most of you will want to quit after just one loop.
