The Summit 200 is a dream race for us. The route we have planned is extraordinary in both its beauty and difficulty. Runners would run one 200-mile loop around Summit County, Colorado utilizing numerous stunning hiking trails in the area. They would also run on rec paths, forest roads, and short sections of pavement. The majority of this route is single track trail and infrequently traveled forest roads. The beauty of this course is nothing short of breathtaking. And on the other hand, the route itself will take your breath away…as the LOWEST altitude is over 9000 feet with sections surpassing the 13,000 ft mark. Over the course of the event runners would gain (and lose) over 40,000 ft of elevation.

We are currently working with various permitting agencies in CO to make this dream a reality on 7/22/24. Being our inaugural year, final approval will likely not come until February or March 2024. Registration will open on a first-come, first-served basis. Since approval is not finalized participants will not be charged until we get final approval (similar to a waitlist for sold-out events). Upon approval, runners will be automatically charged the full registration fee. We do feel confident that this will happen in 2024, and we are doing everything in our power to make sure of it.

If you want in on this epic adventure through the Rockies, save the date, and get in early. We are setting our initial cap at 100 runners in our inaugural year.
