The 50K starts by taking the JHMR trails across the hillsides, reaching a climb up the Holey Moley trail. Continue across the mountain towards the Cirque trail until you reach the top of Rendezvous Mountain. From Rendezvous, take the Upper Rock Springs Loop along the ridge line towards the summit of Cody Peak. Along this trail is technical terrain and steep climbing. There is a moderate rock scramble to reach the Cody Peak Summit.
After reaching the summit, descend down and make your way down to the Upper Rock Springs Loop. Continue down a service road to the upper Rock Springs drainage. Descend on the "climbers trail" for ~4.5 miles; this is an out of bounds section with scree and technical terrain. Reach the Yurt trail and connect back to the Hoback Trail where you will find yourself passing through the Casper Aid for a 2nd time. Climb back up the Holey Moley trail for a 2nd time, connecting to the Casper Ridge Loop and descending down the Wildflower Trail. ***This places you at the Casper Aid for your 3rd time through.**** The course continues down the mountain on a road until connecting to the Seven Bridges trail. Run the final section in reverse towards the finish line.
