Tackle the Toad is returning to Nelson! Kicking off Canada Day weekend, on Saturday 29th June 2024 the iconic trail race is once again taking on Toad Mountain.

Leading the lucky challengers on an epic route through world-class single track trails, flanked by ancient Cedar forests and rising up into the rocky alpine ridge lines above Kootenay Lake. Expect hard climbs, technical descents and awe-inspiring views. Runners can choose between the 20k or 50k distance with up to 2500m of vert(race dependent!). For folks looking for a challenging run, with a taste of proper Kootenay mountain running...this one is for you!

This years race will be headed by Race Director Emily Ostler, with the course design by local running legend Dave Stevens. With support from Nelson Running Club and in proud association with Nelson Cycle Club; a portion of race fee's will be donated to maintain the beautiful trails in the area.
