The Skyline Mountain Marathon has been called the most difficult, yet most beautiful marathon in Utah. Let us be clear though, this is not your standard marathon. With elevation gain of around 5K ft, your legs are sure to be screaming. We do not recommend this race as your first marathon. It is over 90% on rough single track trail. For those of you looking for something not quite as punishing, there is a Half Marathon option. And for those of you looking to really push yourself, there is now a 50K option with almost 7K ft in climbing. Both the marathon and 50K are great training runs for the fall 100 milers. So, if you like pain, you have come to the right place. You’ll need to ride this pain and exhilaration like a sadistic roller coaster to make it through these killer events.
