Backyard Ultra Rules/Information
- 1 - 4.17 mile lap, that starts precisely every hour on the hour.
- A coin toss will determine the direction of each lap.
- Warnings will be given at 3, 2, and 1 minutes prior to the start with a whistle.
- All participants must be in the start corral at the sound of the bell.
- All participants must start at the sound of the bell (no late starts).
- Participants may not leave the course until each lap is completed, except for restrooms.
- No personal aid outside of start/finish aid station area?.
- No trekking poles allowed.
- No non-participants/pacers allowed.
- Each lap must be completed within an hour to be counted, including the final lap.
- The winner is the last person to complete a lap.
- If no runner can complete one more lap than anyone else, there is no winner.
- No age group awards.
- You're encouraged to set up your crewing area around the start/finish
