Tooele County is home to the Serengeti/Oquirrh Wave trail system, situated at the feet of the Oquirrh Mountains. These courses will appeal to the beginner and experienced trail runner alike. You will traverse technical atv trails and beautiful single-track; take in sweeping views of the Tooele Valley, Great Salt Lake, and distant Stansbury Mountain Range; and enjoy the beauty and solitude of getting off the asphalt and onto the dirt. 50k Course The 50k course will consist of two 25k distance loops - the first loop will be run clockwise, with the second loop being run counterclockwise.
Runners will start out, northbound, crusing through the Oquirrh Wave; after climbing the foothills situated at the feet of lofty Farnsworth Peak, runners will then head south, ascending the Oquirrh Wave; next, a beautiful wooded section of Pole Canyon awaits you; soon, runners descend the wooded BBC trail; next is a runnercoaster of a section along the pole line road; nearing the Serengeti Trail System, runners will take the lower road north, back to the Start/Finish Area.
To finish up, runners will repeat this loop, in counterclockwise direction.
