Nestled along the serene Leaf River, the fourth annual Run the River Ultra invites runners and walkers of all abilities to relish a 6-hour looped trail challenge. Whether you're chasing ultra miles, collaborating with a relay team, or simply enjoying a leisurely walk, this event offers a dynamic and welcoming atmosphere perfect for both first-timers and seasoned trail runners.

Course

Participants will journey through a roughly 2.5-mile loop weaving from wide meadow lanes into charming single-track, beneath a hardwood canopy. You'll pass scenic riverfront views, tranquil lagoons, wetlands, palmetto fields, and even cross historic train trestles — all designed to showcase the best of Petal River Park

Experience

This tailgate-style event encourages runners and their supporters to create their own rest zones.
