Run of the Dead Elimination Run

What's that saying about doing the same thing over and over again? Join us for the 3rd year of this insane event held on October 29th, 2017 at Old School Forest Preserve. These trails offer some prime leaf peeping! Runners can choose one of the following distances:

8 x 4.25-mile loops on the top of every hour starting at 8am for 34 miles total,
4 x 4.25-mile loops on the top of every hour starting at noon for 17 miles total,
2 x 4.25-mile loops on the top of every hour starting at 2pm for 8.5 miles total

This elimination-style event means that if it takes you 40 minutes to run a loop, you will have 20 minutes to relax and grab a sweet or savory crepe from our crepe stand, or if you dare, compete in the King & Queen of the Hill Challenge and run some hill repeats before everyone begins the next loop. If, however, you don't finish any loop within the hour, you are disqualified. There is an aid station halfway through the loop stocked with food & drink and the best damn volunteers around. The start / finish area will have food and music.
