Relentless 50k/50m
Mad Trapper Relentless 50K is a fall ultra trail race held at The Ark in Denholm, Quebec, approximately 40 minutes north of Ottawa.
The course begins with an 18K gravel road prologue through quiet countryside and fall colours before returning to The Ark for three loops of private technical singletrack trail. The trail sections include rocks, roots, climbs, descents, tight turns, and constant changes in rhythm.
Each trail loop rewards runners with a private lake view near the summit before a fast, technical descent back toward The Ark. The full course has approximately 1,523 m of elevation gain and is designed to be challenging, runnable, scenic, and relentlessly honest.
There are no cutoff times. Runners pass through The Ark multiple times during the race, where they can access the main aid area and personal supplies.
The 50K is recognized on the UTMB Index in the 50K category and is officially ITRA recognized, earning finishers 2 ITRA points. Registered runners can camp for free at The Ark on race weekend.
The 50 Miler is designed as the biggest Relentless challenge: runnable early, demanding late, and built around the fall colours, quiet gravel roads, and private singletrack trails of the Gatineau Hills. Registered runners can camp for free at The Ark on race weekend.
