Montana's Ultra Marathon Challenge consists of three trail running races that take you through the lesser known yet spectacular Tobacco Root mountain range. The Tobacco Roots are 60 miles west of Bozeman, Mt, and 90 miles northwest of Yellowstone National Park. All races begin and end in the historic ghost mining town of Pony, on the Eastern flanks of the range. 2016 marks the 4th running of Montana's Ultra Challenge (formerly called the Mystery Ranch Ultra Challenge).
