This race is meant to be the HARDEST race in North America. You will top out at 6,400 ft and run 30% of the race above 6,000 ft. The first 2.5 miles is a vertical kilometer. The race has 4 major climbs and 4 major descents. Parts of it will be the rockiest trail you have ever tried to run. You will be running in the Black Mountains just North of Asheville. The winning time will most likely be close to 7 hours. The beauty of this course is unparalleled! These mountains are different. They create their own weather pattern.
