Outrunning Autism 5K & 24-Hour Outrunning Extreme

Since 2009, our race has offered a 24-hour Outrunning Extreme and Relay with Jim Ball. Jim's two oldest grandchildren suffer from autism. He was approached in 2009 about sponsoring the 5k race due to his personal experience with autism. He thought that, instead of simply sponsoring the race, he could raise more money by running.

Challenge yourself to 24 hours of running/walking around Beckley Creek Park's scenic parkway with Jim Ball or you can support Jim by running for a period of time. Or if 24 hours is a bit too extreme, gather your friends and create a relay team! Together, we can accomplish anything!
