This course starts at The Hyattville logging road and takes you up into the red desert foothills and the amazing rock formations to gaze over the expansive and awe-inspiring Big Horn Basin, where you can see all the way across to Yellowstone and Teton Parks before you head up into the Winter Elk Range and the among the wildflowers in the Big Horn National Forest. You will come to the top of the Big Horn Mountains over Battle Park and drop down into the southern drainage and run up the steep Forest Service Road 410 to what we call the turkey tracks. It's downhill from here. You will follow Battle Park Rd down 2 miles to Dry Ten Sleep aid station and from there follow the very rocky FS Road 413 down to a single track that will take you to where you will cross Highway 16. Cross to Old Ten Sleep Highway and run down the dirt road to finish at the Ten Sleep Hatchery at the bottom of Ten Sleep Canyon. This course is about 34.5 miles with 5440 feet of elevation gain and 4521 feet of elevation loss.
