Orcas Island, WA

Like it's sister races, the Orcas Island 25K and 50K, this 100.8 mile loop course offers steep singletrack, rolling terrain around mountain lakes, fun and fast downhill sections through old-growth forest and sweeping views of the Salish Sea and the San Juan Islands. With ~26,000 feet of elevation gain (and equal loss), it's as tough as it is beautiful.

Runners will complete four 25.2-mile loops, each loop with five fully stocked aid stations. There is a 36-hour overall time limit, and cut-off times enforced throughout the last loop. There will be local beer, live bluegrass music and wood-fired pizza at the finish line!

This race is quickly gaining a reputation as being a low key, intimate race with a grass roots feel. The race has the majority of the same aid station volunteers back from previous years and due to the loop course, runners and volunteers get to know each other well. We also offer a free pasta dinner on Thursday during the mandatory pre-race briefing and an awards ceremony on Sunday at the local theater in Eastsound which means tons of group bonding time!
