Notchview Invitational

EVENT TIME:
50km /50 mile / 24 Hour all start at 10am on Saturday.
50km/50mile have a 24 hour cutoff.

RACE DEETS: This is a fatass. We repeat. This is a fatass. We will not provide anything other than water and snarky comments from the Race Director table. This is additionally an invitational event. You must hit certain criteria to earn entry. This is a celebration of those who have gone the distance, putting in the miles and hours and represent what BURCS core values are all about. One of the following will suffice to earn an entry:

1. Have completed or volunteered at at least 5 Notchview Ultras.
2. Race or Volunteered in each in-person BURCS Races for 2025 (Tails & Trails, Free to Run, Notchview Ultra, Sweltering Summer, Jug End)..
3. Current or Former BURCS Race Director

**Camping is allowed the night before. We are guests of Notchview and want to maintain that standing. We may have designated fire area the night before pending Trustees approval**

COURSE DESCRIPTION:: A beautifully groomed 1.9 mile perimeter loop trail that winds around Notchview in Windsor, MA. You will pass the aid station each lap and there will be access to bathrooms and running water. Link to Strava Segment of course: https://www.strava.com/segments/19298897.

AID STATION: This event is being held in the spirit of the OG Notchview Fatass. We will provide water and maybe some gatorade powder. We will throw out a microwave to warm things up in the evening. All other stuff, plan to bring yourself!

RULES/EXPECTATIONS: We are guests of Notchview. Please help us get welcomed back for next year. Clean up after yourself. Use the garbage cans and make sure not to leave any trash around your campsite. Please try to limit noise from your site at these hours. This helps us maintain our good standing with the Notchview Caretakers.

RACE RESULTS: **Important** We will not have chip timing. I repeat. We will not have chip timing. We are resurrecting the OG Timing Boards from 2019 and 2021. Let’s have a good time! You are in charge of tallying your laps. If you forget, you owe a penalty lap. When you are done, record your finishing time and write the word DONE next to your time. That’s it.

SWAG: This is a fatass invite. If you want the race director’s autograph, he might make an exception. The real swag is getting to camp out and hang with your friends all weekend!

BENEFICIARIES: We will be donating proceeds after costs to the Trustees of Reservations at Notchview
