As in previous years, my family and I are opening up our home, a private horse ranch in Riverside, CA to host the race. The course is a flat, 1-mile, mostly dirt/grass loop with good footing and a trail wide enough to allow easy passing. Support is never more than a half mile away.
The goal is to complete as many laps as possible within the allotted time, either solo (6hr, 12hr, or 24hr) or as a relay team of up to 4 runners (24hr). Participants entered in and who finish the 100-mile race in under 30 hours will receive a buckle; those finishing sub-24 hours will receive a special buckle. Relay teams who complete a cumulative total of 100 miles within 24 hrs. receive a special relay team buckle (one buckle for each team member). Participants entered in the 6hr, 12hr and 24hr races will receive a cool T-shirt, raffle tickets for awesome running swag and a medal.
Nanny Goat has always been a family and crew friendly race. We are so excited that we will again be able to offer the full Nanny Goat experience including camping, swimming, kid's activities etc
