Lord Hillbilly Trail Run
Lord Hill Regional Park is famous—or perhaps notorious—for the very steep section of the Pipeline Trail that ascends from the quarry, and the loop for this course will use that quad-punishing segment before a gentler descent back to the start/finish point. The park rises over 650 feet from the banks of the Snohomish River, and the loop route for this event will use a good portion of that elevation difference. The park encompasses vast forest areas, wetlands, and trails that are enjoyed by hikers, mountain bikers, equestrians, and of course, trail runners. We’ll have a tarp and tent set up for your personal gear, and a full aid station to replenish after each loop.
The approximately 1.8 mile loop includes about 455 feet of elevation gain. Using the Pipeline and River View Quarry trails, the challenge is to do as many loops as you can in your chosen time limit. You’ll pass through the aid station each time, where you can check in with your supporters and replenish for the next loop. We will be there cheering for you! How many feet of elevation gain can you rack up, as our timing crew keeps track of your laps?
