The Outer Banks Running Club will be hosting a 50 mile road race with a 15 hour cut-off to benefit the local chapter of FCA (Fellowship of Christian Athletes). The Light 2 Light 50 will start at the Corolla Light House, continue along the coast of the scenic barrier islands of NC through a portion of the Cape Hatteras National Seashore to the Bodie Island Light House and then finish at Jennette's Pier. All runners will receive t-shirts, finishers will receive a finisher item and top 3 males and females will get awards. Food, water and Gatorade will be available at all 4 of the aid stations, however this will be a green race and we are requesting that everyone brings their own water bottles because no cups will be provided. The first aid station will be at approximately mile 17, the second at 29 the third at 37 and the fourth at 44. Pacers will not be allowed. If you want someone to run with you for any portion of the course they must be a registered runner. Crews will be allowed and access you at any of the aid stations and any other public parking lot or beach access. We request that crew does not follow along or stop roadside at any point. This will be cause for disqualification. We expect to sell out and are looking forward to seeing y'all
