The KATY 50/50 is a 50 kilometer, 50 mile & (every other year) a 100-kilometer trail race local to STL, Washington, and surrounding Missouri areas.
The DRC is excited to once again share our well-traveled stretch of rail-to-trail for the day. Gain your grit for the year or use this as time on dirty feet for your fall 100s. The KATY Trail is a phenomenal community landmark for local runners and we hope to continue bringing both notoriety, enjoyment and competition to this outdoor resource.

Course is rail-to-trail, packed fine gravel, with almost no elevation change. Expect scenic bridges, fields, forests, creeks, river, and sheer rock face views.
Race start is 6:30 AM, ends at 9:00PM. Cutoffs are generous, 14.5 hour total race time in both the 50k and 50 mile. Each finisher will receive a high-quality medal, top 1st place finishers (Male and Female/race) will receive a special award, top 3 finishers (male and female/race) for each distance will receive an additional prize.
Course is wheeled and double gps'ed for accuracy. Bib transfers or distances changes allowed with permission from RDs, no refunds.

Course Routes
Start/Finish: Marthasville, Mo, KATY Trailhead, the race will utilize a portion of the KATY Trail spanning from Peers to Defiance-scenic, flat and fast, with bridges, sheer rock faces, fields and forest.
Both distances begin with a spur to the west turn around, then the completion of the race is run between Marthasville and the Klondike Boat Ramp in Defiance, Mo. Aid stations are located every at each trailhead and are never more than 4.5 miles apart.
50K: (series of 2 out and backs) Start in Marthasville, .8 miles spur to the west, return to Marthasville, 3.75 miles to Dutzow, 4.25 miles to Nona, 3.25 miles to Augusta, 3.5 miles to Klondike, return to finish in Marthasville.
50M: (series of 3 out and backs) 2.25 miles spur to the West, return to Marthasville, 3.75 miles to Dutzow, 4.25 miles to Nona, 3.25 miles to Augusta, 3.5 miles to Klondike, return to Marthasville, turnaround at Marthasville, 3.75 miles to Dutzow, 4.25 miles to Nona, return to finish in Marthasville.
